You will need a tourism visit visa if you are visiting Saudi Arabia as a tourist, and you may also need this visa if you are transiting and you are flying with a low-cost carrier (like WizzAir, for example) and you may need to switch terminals.

Nationals of the countries listed on the https://visa.visitsaudi.com/ Web site can obtain their visa 2 ways:

1. Online, on the https://visa.visitsaudi.com/ Web site.
2. On arrival at the Saudi airport.

For the online visa application, the uploaded passport image should be very low resolution (5–10KB), so it can fit into the image window.

If you are transiting, in the visa application under the Saudi accommodation section, write the name and address of the airport.

Both the e-visa and the visa on arrival must be paid for by bank or credit card.

With a tourist visa you may also perform Umrah, but only outside the Hajj period. Important information regarding Umrah can be found on the https://www.nusuk.sa/ Web site.

If your country is not on the list mentioned above, please first call the phone number 06 80 080 596, where they will tell you whether you can apply for the visa online, obtain it on arrival at a Saudi airport, or whether you will need an embassy visa.

1. If you are eligible for an e-visa, you can apply on the https://visa.visitsaudi.com/ Web site.
2. If you can obtain a visa on arrival, contact the airline with which you will be flying into the country to confirm whether they allow boarding without a visa.
3. If you need an embassy visa, please read the information regarding the tourism visit visa. (The Embassy will decide at its own discretion whether the visa is issued for single or multiple entry.)

Validity: 90 days for single, 365 days for multiple
Length of stay: 90 days

Mandatory documents for all visa types:

1. Original passport and copy. Passport must
   – be valid for at least 6 months after date of entry into the country,
   – have at least 2 empty pages side by side,
   – be free of any restrictions or conditions that would prevent your return to Hungary.
2. Official invitation letter from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
3. Filled-out and signed application form.
4. 1x colour passport photo with white background, not older than 6 months.
5. Copy of valid Hungarian ID card, both sides.
6. Copy of valid Hungarian address card, both sides.
7. For non-Hungarian citizens, copy of Hungarian residence card, both sides, valid for at least 6 months.
8. Signed declaration form about the laws of the KSA, and agreeing to the biometric reading at the Embassy in Budapest.
9. Filled-out and signed declaration on the countries you have visited in the past 6 months.
10. Filled-out and signed Embassy release.
11. Name, address, and tax registration number (for companies) for the invoice.
12. Your address in the KSA.

Further documents necessary for the tourism visit visa:

1. Copy of return flight reservation.
2. Copy of hotel reservation.
3. Copy of Hungarian employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, in English, signed, and stamped. If you are a student, a letter from the institution that you are presently enrolled, in English, signed, and stamped.
4. Hungarian employer’s registration document (“cégkivonat”).
5. Answering the following:

Further documents necessary for the tourism visit visa – category B countries:

1. Copy of return flight reservation.
2. Copy of hotel reservation.
3. Copy of Hungarian employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, in English, signed, and stamped. If you are a student, a letter from the institution that you are presently enrolled, in English, signed, and stamped.
4. Hungarian employer’s registration document (“cégkivonat”).
5. Proof of financial solvency. (Please contact us for further details.)
6. Answering the following:

With a business visit visa, you may participate in business meetings, negotiations, and conferences, provide short-term services such as management and consulting, and provide short-term technical services. The inviting or sponsoring Saudi company will initiate the visa application process through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they will receive the official invitation letter and send it to you. You will then need to submit this letter to us along with the other required documents.

An active employment status in Hungary is required for the business visit visa. This must be supported by an employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, as well as the company registration document (“cégkivonat”).

1. Letter from the Saudi company, addressed to the Embassy, requesting the visa to be issued to you, including the purpose of your visit, your personal data, stating that they would be sponsoring your stay (if they are the sponsor), signed, and stamped.
2. Saudi company’s registration document.
3. Saudi company’s details (name, address, Web page, e-mail address, telephone number, contact person’s name).
4. Copy of Hungarian employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, in English, signed, and stamped.
5. Hungarian employer’s registration document (“cégkivonat”).
6. Letter from your Hungarian employer, in English, addressed to the Embassy, requesting the visa to be issued to you, including the purpose of your visit, your personal data, stating that they would be sponsoring your stay (if they are the sponsor), signed, and stamped.
7. Copy of your highest level of diploma/certificate, in English, or OFFI certified English translation attached.
8. Answering the following:
   – Does the Saudi company exist in at least 3 countries?
   – Is the Saudi company publicly listed?

For the business visit visa, active employment in Hungary is required. This must be supported by a copy of employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, and company registration document (“cégkivonat”).

With a personal visit visa, a close acquaintance living in Saudi Arabia can invite you to visit them. The inviting individual must have Saudi citizenship or a Saudi residence permit. They must initiate the visa application process through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they will receive the official invitation letter and send it to you. You will then need to submit this letter to us along with the other required documents.

Validity: 90 days for single, 365 days for multiple

1. Copy of inviting person’s Saudi residence card, valid for at least 4 months.
2. Copy of inviting person’s valid passport.
3. Copy of return flight reservation.
4. Copy of Hungarian employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, in English, signed, and stamped. If you are a student, a letter from the institution that you are presently enrolled, in English, signed, and stamped.
5. Hungarian employer’s registration document (“cégkivonat”).

To be able to work in Saudi Arabia, you will need a work visa. The application for this will be initiated by your Saudi employer through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they will receive the official invitation letter and authorization/delegation letter. They will send these to you, and you will need to submit them to us along with the other required documents.

The work visa allows a single entry and is valid for 90 days. During this period, your Saudi employer will arrange your residency documents, which will allow you to remain in the country and travel.

1. MOFA authorisation/delegation letter.
2. Letter from the Saudi company, addressed to the Embassy, requesting the visa to be issued to you, including the purpose of your visit, your personal data, signed, and stamped.
3. Original Saudi employment contract and copy, signed by both parties, attested by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce, AND with a Saudi Foreign Ministry apostille.
4. Saudi company’s registration document.
5. Saudi company’s details (name, address, Web page, e-mail address, telephone number, contact person’s name).
6. If you are presently employed by a Hungarian company, copy of employer’s certificate (“munkáltatói igazolás”) or employment contract, in English, and Hungarian company’s registration document (“cégkivonat”).
7. Original diploma and copy, in English, or certified OFFI English translation attached, authenticated on the https://www.mosadaqa.sa/Home/Landing Web site, AND with a Hungarian Foreign Ministry apostille (or with the issuing country’s Foreign Ministry apostille if other than Hungary).
8. The qualification on the diploma and in the Saudi contract must be the same.
9. Original medical certificate and test results, not older than 3 months, with a Hungarian Foreign Ministry apostille.
10. Original police certificate, free of any convictions, not older than 3 months, with a Hungarian Foreign Ministry apostille.
11. Applicant’s age must be between 21 and 60 years.

With a family visit visa, a close relative living in Saudi Arabia (parent, sibling, child, or spouse) can invite you to visit them. The inviting family member must have Saudi citizenship or a Saudi residence permit. They must initiate the visa application process through the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they will receive the official invitation letter and send it to you. You will then need to submit this letter to us together with the other required documents.

3. Original birth certificate and copy, in English or in Arabic, or certified OFFI English translation attached, with issuing country’s Foreign Ministry apostille.
4. Original and copy of proof of kinship between you and the inviting family member (ie. birth certificate, marriage certificate), in English or in Arabic, or certified OFFI English translation attached, with issuing country’s Foreign Ministry apostille.
5. If travelling with children without the other parent, filled-out and signed parent consent form.
